Canton Community Foundation

A field of interest fund allows you to connect your philanthropy with high-impact opportunities. With your fund, you can target the cause that is important to you. It can be anything — education, social services, environment, health and wellness, the arts, or another focus area. Your gift will remain flexible enough to meet community needs in your interest area, even as specific organizations and services change over time. You can make a donation to your fund at any time. Others who share your interests may also contribute to your fund.

A field of interest fund is perfect for the donor who wants to be philanthropic but prefers to choose a cause rather than a specific organization. This fund is also good for donors who want to leave a legacy with an estate gift or bequest. You determine the parameters for your fund and CCF determines the organizations that will receive grants from your fund. Some field of interest funds can also become an opportunity to support individuals in need of services through a selection process.

We Work With You
When you have determined the passion or cause you want to support, CCF will establish the fund and handle all of the administration and maintenance of the fund. Our staff continually monitors community needs to ensure grants made in the name of the fund will have the greatest impact in your field of interest and will create a personal legacy of giving for you.

Tax Benefits
You will receive the maximum tax deduction in the year the gift is made. Avoid costly capital gains taxes while realizing the maximum tax deductibility of your donation with a gift of appreciated stock or other complex assets.

Current Field of Interest Funds Include:

This fund will be used to support health and wellness activities in the greater Canton community.
